Preparing Your Application for a Business Loan


Supporting Materials for Your Loan Application

Thank you for considering Alaska Pacific Bank for your next business loan. 

We know you would like a decision as quickly as possible.  You can expedite the loan process by providing us with the following items at the time of your application.  We will need you to provide information about yourself, about other owners/guarantors, and about your company, so that we can make an informed loan decision.

Established Businesses:

  • Balance Sheet: A current balance sheet listing all assets and liabilities of the business (do not include personal items).
  • Profit and Loss Statement: An earnings statement for last year, a copy of tax returns for the previous two years, and a current year-to-date balance sheet. Also include a projection of earnings, if needed, to show your ability to repay the loan.
  • Personal Financial Statement: A current personal financial statement for each owner, partner, or stockholder owning 20% or more to the business.  (You can download/complete our form if you prefer.)
  • Collateral: List the collateral to be offered as security for the loan, with your estimate of the present market value of each item.
  • Amount of Loan Request: Indicate the amount and uses for the loan you are requesting.

New Businesses:

  • Type of Business: Describe in detail the type of business to be established.
  • Capabilities: Describe the experience and capabilities of management.
  • Investment: Prepare an estimate of how much you have available to invest in the business and how much you will need to borrow.
  • Financial Statement: A current financial statement (balance sheet) listing all personal assets and liabilities.  (You can download/complete our form if you prefer.)
  • Earnings: Please include a month-to-month detailed projection of earnings for the first year the business will be in operation.
  • Collateral: List collateral to be offered as security for the loan, with your estimate of the present market value of each item.
  • Disbursement of Loan: Document how the proceeds of the loan will be used. Provide estimates if possible.
